No need for a 'special adaptor PCB': you simply need some FPC breakout board (i.e. https://www.adafruit.com/products/1492; get two because you will need one for the data signals and another oner for the backlight, a 40-pin FFC - get if from here i.e. https://www.adafruit.com/products/2098, the FFC connectors i.e. http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/hirose-electric-co-ltd/FH28E-40S-0.5SH(05)/HFV040CT-ND/2119006 and http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/hirose-electric-co-ltd/FH28-10S-0.5SH(98)/H124624CT-ND/5155927 for the BL).
Wire it to the RPI, configure DPI and start using it.
